I keep a quiet ledger of words that hold me still. They arrive in airports, on empty streets, in the silver pause between shutter clicks. These fragments are small gravity wells, soft reminders that light bends around thought.
When I am unsure what to photograph, I return to language. It sharpens the edges of what I want to say with an image: the brief flare of a passing face, the hush of a horizon waiting for dusk, the cadence of a city learning to breathe.
A camera is a compass. It tells me which direction the story is leaning. A journal keeps the coordinates honest. Together they are my way of staying awake inside the world.
